Animals like Parmesan, a sweet puppy who found his family just days before Hurricane Helene hit and changed everything for Western NC.

Parmesan didn’t just find a home—he gave his adopters a new sense of purpose. He brought joy, cuddles, laughter, distraction, and unconditional love into their lives, proving yet again that the bond between humans and animals is one of the most powerful connections we can experience.

This year hasn’t been easy. Losing our shelter in the floodwaters could have been the end, but it wasn’t. Because of you, Brother Wolf is still here.
